Modula strengthens its presence in Spain with the inauguration of its new factories in Castellón

The new building, which stands out due to its open spaces with a modern aesthetic, will be home to the Iberian Peninsula branch and will accompany it in its project of expansion and growth

After 30 years of activity in Spain, Modula takes another step towards leadership in the vertical and horizontal automated warehouses sector in Spain and Portugal with the new headquarters, Modula Logística y Almacenaje, in Castellón. Strong growth in recent years has generated the need for a new space that meets its short-term expansion plans.

The building, which will allow the team to increase by 30%, covers over 650 square meters, spread over a single floor that houses the administrative, commercial, and technical assistance offices.

Over and above the aesthetics and careful planning, the new building reiterates a strong environmental commitment. Surrounded by an external glass wall that allows natural light to enter, the structure has a system of insulating curtains that regulates the light and temperature of the inside, minimizing energy consumption.

On the other hand, the installation of low-consumption LED spotlights, with motion sensors and automated power regulation, dramatically contributes to reducing the carbon footprint generated by business activities. Furthermore, air quality and employee safety are guaranteed thanks to a powerful ventilation system which renews all the air present in the premises within a short timeframe.

The growth plans of Modula Logística y Almacenaje forecast, in a second phase ending in the second half of 2021, the construction of another building, attached to the current one. This second block will allow an extension of the offices, and, more importantly, it is destined to hold the company's warehouse and a showroom that will exhibit all the models of Modula vertical and horizontal automated warehouses. This will allow customers interested in improving the performance of their intralogistics to be able to experience, first-hand, not only the operation, but also the potential of automated storage systems.

With these new facilities, the Spanish branch of Modula is commensurate with the spirit of innovation that the brand projects from each of its corporate buildings, located on five continents.
