Modula warehouse management system for the automotive industry

MotoMart is a company that has been successfully marketing agricultural spare parts throughout Latin America for over 40 years. With the constant expansion of its business, the company felt that it needed to increase its product storage space and, most importantly, optimise its inventory management.

The need to better organise operations led MotoMart to design and construct a new building, designed to exploit every available square metre to the maximum. To achieve this, the company chose Modula, an innovative storage system discovered through a supplier in Turkey.

The implementation of Modula allowed MotoMart to make space savings of 40% in both the customer service area and the maintenance and customer care department. This system has revolutionised the organisation of its materials, allowing the precise and efficient management of thousands of components, often very small in size, which must be catalogued and controlled in real time.

Thanks to this solution, the company is now able to offer superior customer service, as references can be found in no time at all, reducing waiting times and increasing customer satisfaction.

A distinctive feature of Modula is the Put to Light system, which is integrated into the shelf structure in front of the Modula unit itself. This system illuminates the spaces where the retrieved material is to be placed, ensuring quick and error-free organisation.

Furthermore, the user-friendly nature of the system, due to the combination of the Copilot, the Laser Pointer and the alphanumeric bar, makes work smooth and comfortable for operators, with a significant reduction in errors.
The operational efficiency of the Modula system has not only improved MotoMart’s internal logistics, but has also helped to consolidate the company’s image as an industry leader, capable of responding promptly to its customers’ needs.
