At the heart of the collaboration is Modula Connector, the application developed by Innovio to establish a direct dialogue between the Modula WMS, the warehouse management software, and the company’s business management system. The solution brings the use of Modula storage systems directly into the ERP digital environment and promotes a structured exchange of information on picking, storage, handling, stock and physical inventory.
The connector creates a communication flow between Business Central and Modula systems. Warehouse documents generated in the ERP are transferred to the VLM; once the operation has been completed, the data is sent back to Business Central with the quantities handled, any batches and serial numbers, postings and useful information for process control.
The solution also makes it possible to associate Modula categories with Business Central bins, configure locations, parameters, endpoints and automations, as well as manage data exchanges through dedicated logs and statuses. This enables companies to monitor the connection between the ERP and the VLM, check activities and respond more quickly in the event of anomalies.
