The Company
LEADCNC is a Chinese company specializing in the design and production of intelligent machinery for doors and windows. Founded in 2007 in Jinan, Shandong Province, the company focuses on CNC machine tools for processing aluminum profiles, with particular attention to production lines dedicated to aluminum and glass doors, windows, and façades. The company is developing a true smart factory, with the goal of increasing the level of automation within its production lines and making each phase smoother, more precise, and fully integrated.
The Challenge
On its path toward an increasingly intelligent production model, LEADCNC needed to optimize the management of line-side materials serving the production process. Traditional solutions based on manual shelving required time, space, and repetitive handling by operators, creating delays and potential inefficiencies.
The company was therefore looking for a system capable of:
- centralizing and managing materials intelligently
- integrating with automated production lines
- ensuring a continuous flow synchronized with production
- improving traceability and optimizing space
The Solution
In 2023, during an industry trade fair, the LEADCNC team discovered the Modula Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and, through a live demonstration, immediately recognized its potential: centralized material management, intelligent inventory control, and perfect adaptability for line-side storage.
Thanks to the support of Qingdao Dingli Industrial Equipment, Modula’s dealer in the Chinese market and a long-standing strategic partner, it was possible to:
- conduct a detailed technical analysis
- gather data from the production environment
- design a custom solution featuring a Modula Lift
- visit Modula’s factory in Suzhou to learn more about the technology, reliability, and application cases
Convinced of the strength of the solution, LEADCNC installed the Modula Lift MC50D in its smart factory, with a height of 5,100 mm.
The Results
Today, the Modula Lift is a true intelligent line-side warehouse, fully integrated into LEADCNC’s automated production system.
The Modula Lift manages materials such as:
- raw materials for aluminum profiles
- standard parts
- tools
- spare parts for equipment
The benefits achieved are significant:
- Full automation: from storage to picking, all the way to inventory counting
- Space optimization: the VLM exploits previously unused volumes

The company plans to continue developing its smart factory by integrating additional advanced solutions and expanding the role of Modula VLM.
