At Modula, we reaffirm, also for 2024, our commitment to a sustainable development model by voluntarily presenting the new Sustainability Report, referring exclusively to Modula S.p.A. and covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024. This choice goes beyond regulatory requirements and demonstrates our willingness to communicate transparently about our commitment to the environment, people, and governance.
The year 2024 marked an important phase of evolution: we decided to immediately align ourselves with the principles of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), adopting the double materiality criterion as a reference for analysing and evaluating the impacts generated by the company. This approach led to an even more structured dialogue with various stakeholders, expanding opportunities for engagement and integrating their expectations into the definition of strategic priorities.
This path made it possible to initiate concrete actions with positive effects on the business model and on the social and environmental context in which our company operates.
Among the year’s most significant achievements, the expansion of the company’s photovoltaic system stands out: an investment that increases the energy autonomy of our facilities and contributes to a notable reduction in climate-altering emissions. Energy efficiency and the transition to renewable energy are, in fact, two central pillars of our vision, which combines industrial competitiveness with responsibility toward the planet.
On the governance front, we continue to promote a management model oriented toward foresight, value protection, and the construction of a sustainable future for the next generations. In the social sphere, 2024 saw the strengthening of programmes dedicated to people’s well-being, the enhancement of skills, and the creation of a safe, inclusive, and motivating work environment.
People remain, for us, the key lever to foster innovation and consolidate harmonious long-term growth.
The year 2024 also marked a further step forward in innovation applied to sustainability: we contributed to the development of new solutions for technological and circular agriculture, ranging from micropropagation to vertical farming. Our Vertical Lift Modules thanks to their ability to optimise space and reduce energy consumption, also represent technologies naturally oriented toward environmental protection and waste reduction along the supply chain.
Equally important is our relationship with the local area: we continued to support local initiatives related to health, culture, and sports, aware that giving back value to the community is an integral part of our identity. At the same time, we promote an increasingly sustainable supply chain by selecting partners and suppliers who share our same principles of responsibility and environmental awareness.
With determination, we continue along our path, knowing that sustainability is not a final destination but a daily commitment. We look to the future with confidence, ready to continue generating value for people, the territory, and the generations to come.
