Sign lit, doors wide open and ribbon finally cut: the new Modula GmbH site in Gersthofen is now officially a reality. After years of work and consolidation in international markets, Modula celebrates a strategic milestone that marks a key step in the company’s process of internationalization and digital transformation.
Modula’s presence in Germany goes back over a decade, with a solid and well-established network across several regions of the country. With the opening of the Gersthofen site, in the heart of Bavaria, the company is establishing the nerve centre of its German operations here, strengthening its proximity to customers and enhancing its ability to deliver a complete, fast and integrated service.
Located in a strategic industrial area, the new facility spans three floors, covering a total surface area of 2,200 m². A modern, bright and functional building that perfectly combines contemporary architecture, operational efficiency and attention to customer experience. The spaces host the Sales, Back Office, Finance and Customer Care departments, as well as a highly qualified technical team that forms the operational core of Modula GmbH.
On the ground floor, there is a state-of-the-art Experience Centre: an immersive environment where customers and partners can get to know Modula technologies up close, retrace their evolution and discover the company’s most advanced solutions for automated storage.

The official inauguration on November 18 took place in the presence of Mayor Michael Woerle, our Chairman Franco Stefani, General Manager Helmut Jaser, and Jens Walter from the Swabian & Augsburg Chamber of Commerce, along with more than 130 guests. The ceremony was enriched by artistic performances by Anna Winter and Susanne Kahl, featuring contemporary and aerial dance, as well as guided tours and high-quality catering, creating an atmosphere of shared enthusiasm and pride.
2025 has been a particularly dynamic year for Modula, with new subsidiaries opening in Colombia, Singapore, Australia, Denmark and India, as well as the ongoing expansion of the U.S. facility in Ohio (+15,000 m²). The Gersthofen site is part of this global project, reaffirming Modula’s mission: bringing Italian excellence in automated logistics to the world, combining technological innovation, customer care and a strong industrial culture made in Italy.
