Tecniplast was founded in 1949 as a company specializing in the production of molds for plastic materials and in the molding of technical items, in particular for the radio and television, lighting, household appliance, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Today it has over 100 employees, covers an area of 10,000 square meters using technologically advanced systems.
Speed up picking operations with Modula vertical drawer magazines
The storage of raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products was organized on traditional shelves. However, this method hindered Tecniplast’s production development.
The routing to automatic storage solutions was almost natural since the goal was also to speed up picking operations.
Tecniplast has chosen two Modula Lift with 76 trays with a capacity of 500 kg/each. In addition, the automatic closing door guarantees greater safety for the products, while the software tracks their every movement.
The alphanumeric LED bar is installed on the upper part of the bay; the position is designed to be perfectly visible by the operator: it lights up to indicate the section of the drawer involved in the withdrawal / deposit, thus reducing errors and operation times.
The modern design of the machine was a winning criterion along with assistance, the storage density achieved after installation and performance.
