Designed to bring the advantages of vertical automation to long-material storage, Modula Long Goods allows large volumes to be concentrated in a reduced footprint, leveraging heights of up to 21 meters and cutting floor space usage by up to 90%. This solution frees up valuable space, improves warehouse organization, and makes every operation smoother, safer, and more controlled.
The system operates according to the “goods-to-person” principle, which is already at the core of the reliability of Modula Lift: the operator no longer needs to move in search of materials—the materials are delivered directly to the picking point. This means fewer movements, fewer errors, faster processing times, and more ergonomic handling, even for heavy or bulky items.
Each tray can support up to 900 kg, while the total capacity of the VLM can reach 80,000 kg. Aluminum, PVC bars or other materials, as well as profiles, extrusions, tubes, and blades, can all be stored in an organized, protected, and fully traceable way.
Flexibility is one of its key strengths. Modula Long Goods is available with trays measuring 637 mm or 840 mm in depth, which can be configured with dividers, partitions, and extensions to meet different operational needs. Different materials can also be managed within the same system, maintaining order, accessibility, and efficiency.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into existing production processes, Modula Long Goods interfaces with forklifts, overhead cranes, balancers, weight zeroing devices, and manipulators. Direct access to the bay and the option of side opening enable safe unloading of bars—either individually or in batches—without needing to access the entire tray.
